Online Poker Gambling

Online poker gambling is the newest Internet craze. With online poker gambling, you can play poker for fun or cash at any time of the day or night. You don’t have to wait for your friends to to come over and play – there’s always someone online wanting to play poker. สโบเบ็ต

Part of the reason online poker gambling has become so big is the big prizes for both in person and online tournaments. It seems to have all started when Chris Moneymaker, a professional accountant, turned a $39 online poker tournament entry fee into $2.5 million dollars. His initial entry fee of $39 at PokerStars led him to the final table of the annual World Series of Poker in 2003. He won the grand prize by taking first place and since then, many people have expressed more interest in online poker gambling.

Most online poker gambling web sites will offer you two options – to play for fun or to play for cash. When you play for fun, they give you a certain amount of poker chips, which can be reloaded if you lose all of them. If you decide to play for money, you must make a deposit at the site. You can then play at regular tables or enter tournaments. The amounts vary, so you can spend as little – or as much – as you like with online poker gambling.

Even if you do not know how to play poker, give online poker gambling a try. There are few better ways to learn than to just jump in, watch, and learn from others who have more experience.

Brisbane City Travel and Tourism

I live in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. There are a multitude of things to do and see in Brisbane, and since I work in the city, I thought it would be a great idea to start gathering information on the cultural, artistic, architectural and quirky delights Brisbane has to offer. This could be then used as a reference for those who were looking to travel to our fair city, or those locals who wanted to find out more about the city they live in. What to do at sentosa singapore

After spending a year daily blogging about my family, I thought I’d try something a little more challenging. The travel and tourism blog I created aims to discover the hidden and not so hidden delights of Brisbane city. Each day, a new photo and article of a particular element of the city has been posted. The intent is to continue this through all of 2007 and create a valuable cross referenced resource on the more esoteric elements of the city.

In the course of this work, I’ve found that I have a penchant for historical and artistic sculpture, along with a new appreciation for the architecture of the many and varied buildings of the city. For example, Cezary Stulgis and Sebastian Di Mauro are two sculptors whose work I have fallen in love with. I’ve discovered the first statue erected in Brisbane of Thomas Joseph Byrnes. I’ve contrasted the differences between The Batman Building and Customs House, both from quite different eras in the city’s history. I’ve also discovered new parks, gardens and walkways that I would not have explored previously. It has allowed me to delve into the history of the city, although young on the worldly stage that I would not have appreciated otherwise.

That isn’t to say that I’m ignoring the icons of Brisbane, so far covering the Story Bridge, Treasury Casino, and the Queen Street Mall, just to name a few. Brisbane has so much to offer that I’m sure over the course of the year I will continue to unearth new and exciting elements of the city, which I will continue to share.

In good times and bad times people always get the urge to move. Medical Tourism Another Niche Market In South Africa

South Africa – yet another reason to visit

Medical tourism is not a new concept, however in South Africa’s growing tourism industry it is a popular route entrepreneurial South African’s are using to encourage foreigners to visit their country and grow their economy.

Private healthcare in South Africa has gained international respect and recognition owing to the high standard of medical institutions and the quality of doctors it produces. Dr Chris Barnard performed the worlds first heart transplant, the CAT scan was developed in South Africa.

Another significant achievement is South African owned hospital groups such as Netcare expanding rapidly internationally. In 2006 Netcare was awarded Britain’s largest hospital contract, with UK group GHG, and are now recognized as the largest private hospital group in the southern hemisphere.

Private healthcare is a dramatic contrast to the pubic healthcare system in South Africa. Private hospitals, which cater primarily for the small insurance covered market and those who can afford it, offer state-of-the-art facilities with the latest technology, highly trained staff, private rooms, personal televisions and a la carte menus.

This high standard of private healthcare, coupled with South Africa’s weak currency, encourage medical tourism organizations to promote South Africa with confidence, as a safe and affordable medical destination.

BodyContours Healthcare Group in South Africa actively markets medical tourism and says that clients are more concerned with cost than the standard of care in South Africa.

According to Jacqui Gilchrist, Public Relations Manager, “The high standard of medical treatment and expertise is almost a given when visiting South Africa. Our clients are confident in our specialists and even more impressed when they get here.” best attraction Sentosa singapore

Gilchrist says that the most popular procedures are breast enlargements, tummy tucks, liposuction and nose reshaping. The costs vary for each individual. A breast enlargement costs roughly between ₤1500 – ₤1800, adding on flights and accommodation in South Africa and a client can pay approximately ₤2500 for a package. Clients are expected to stay for a minimum of 10 days in South Africa before returning home.

This differs vastly with the cost of a breast enlargement in the UK. Costs of a breast enlargement in London can be anything from ₤3500 – ₤6000.

Medical tourism has more positive offerings. Clients who choose to have their surgery abroad can recover in privacy, in luxurious settings and most enjoy a holiday in South Africa’s top tourist destinations.

With its opulent hotels and breath taking settings, Cape Town is fast becoming one of the leading medical tourism destinations. Clients can choose to relax in one of the many 5 star hotels which over look pristine beaches or the majestic Table Mountain. Alternatively clients can recover in luxury in the nearby picturesque wine lands or enjoy the ultimate African experience at a nearby malaria free game reserve, which boasts the big five.

BodyContours operates predominantly along the beautiful garden route of South Africa, which stretches between the Mother City of Cape Town to the charming town of Port Elizabeth. Clients choose their medical destination according to their surgery needs and budget.

From quality private facilities and top quality medical specialists, together with breathtaking scenery and a vibrant culture, South Africa is firmly establishing itself as the top medical tourism destination for 2007.

Socio-Economic Impact of Gambling

Since time immemorial, human beings have started indulging in formatted games of chance or gambling as they are more formally known there is not a single society or culture which has not experienced the over-whelming influence this game had on shaping its thoughts, beliefs and course of events. For people indulging in these games it elevated to a special significance, moving from merely being a game to a passion, an indulgence that consummated their senses, their decisions and even their existence. All other concerns became secondary receding to the back of the mind while hands, eye and brain became synchronized into shelving that deck of cards.

As far as India is concerned, if mythology is to be believed, we had more then requisite share of gambling affecting our socio-economic as well as political order. Pundits still argue that Mahabharata was nothing but the second stage of what was initially a mere board game with dice. Entire kingdoms, valor, pride and even modesty were hedged as a bet that eventually changed the face of Aryan superiority in the great Indian sub-continent. Then there is reference to Raja Nala of yore (of Nal-dayamanti fame) who also felled prey to the temptation of the dice. So, gambling in whatever format has often left a sinister scar on the face of humanity. Though that is changing as of now but whatever the case may be the influence of gambling has often been undeniable. สมัครsbobet

The social and economic impact of gambling has attracted lots of research primarily because they were needed to bolster the arguments of two groups which are very polarized in their opinion as to the influence of gambling.  Those who consider gambling a serious ill argues that gambling is an unproductive pursuit. It is a sterile activity that offers no productive value, creates no output, no money or goods are generated though considerable time and resources are absorbed in the same. Though they forget that the same logic can be applied to Disneyland, movie and other such pursuits whose sole purpose is providing recreation and any economist worth his salt will vouch that recreation is a very important activity for any thriving economy. There are others who will still maintain that gambling as a habit often comes riding on with many other behavioral disorders, a situation termed as Co-morbidity that creates strong economical disorders pertaining to an individual pushing him to bankruptcy or worse still to a life of crime but alas! There is still no conclusive research that will prove any correlation between gambling and bankruptcy or for that matter with any tangible consequence.

On the other hand are those who argue with facts and figures as to how legalized gambling over a period of time has resurrected the fortunes of many a dwindling economies and save the citizens of sure bankruptcy. Casinos being highly labor intensive creates increased employment opportunities for the population around them. Facilities are built and supplementary businesses have a field day catering to the gambling tourists. The whole economy gets a boost up and millions of dollars are paid simply as tax revenues from these gambling havens. This all is done through the cash that has been attracted from outside the economy resulting in an overall profit. Las Vegas is the perfect example of such a booming economy that has turned the whole city into one giant casino and emerged as the entertainment capital of the world. Then economists also point out that there is the satisfaction of people who always wanted to gamble and in legalized economy can now gamble. This satisfaction is of paramount importance in economy and is termed as Consumer Surplus, a term that can be in theory computed for its dollar value.

Top 5 Nature Friendly Tourism Destinations of India

Adventure tours in India are becoming popular by the day. More and more tourists like to take advantage of the wide variety of adventure sports available in India like biking, trekking, rafting, paragliding and other several varieties that India offers. One thing that goes in India’s favor is the demographic structure of the country; it has something to offer to everyone! If there is desert like Rajasthan or Gujarat then Himalayan regions of Jammu and Kashmir or Uttarakhand is not far behind, if there is Gangetic plains of the east then there are coastlands of the south too. But, such adventure sports do harm nature in the long run or simply put, they erode the natural sanctity which must be cherished and not be roughed up for pleasure. Hence, the concept of nature friendly tourism has been gaining lots of momentum. Tourists and visitors are encouraged to see and witness the natural beauty in its full bloom but not threaten it. There are several places in India where one can go to experience this kind of tourism like Kerala, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh etc. Some of these places offer battery vehicles that do not pollute the natural environment with their exhaust while others do not allow plastic bottles or disposable batteries during the visit. Some of the best places for nature friendly tourism are mentioned below:

    1. Kerala: Kerala eco tours are easily the most famous of the lot as it offers a wide range of places to see. The backwaters look ethereal when the golden glow of sunlight kisses its surface and to top it are the thousands of coconut trees that line up the place. But coconut and backwaters are not the only highlight of Kerala Eco Tours. Like Agra tourism guide Kerala has much to offer in terms of monuments of historical importance. This state, popularly known as ‘God’s own country’, also has diverse wildlife and plant life that will keep you on your toes. best attraction Sentosa singapore

    1. Agra (Uttar Pradesh): Agra tourism guide can never be complete without the mention of the Taj Mahal, called one of the wonders of the world. Besides Taj Mahal, there is Fatehpur Sikri and Agra fort which are no less regal than this wonder of plain white marble. Thanks to numerous gardens and parks built by Mughals in 14th and 15th century Agra is easily the city that nature friendly tourism can look up to. Like Kerala Eco Tours, Agra too has several green places to see.

    1. Corbett National Park (Uttarakhand): This national park is the pride of India. Established in 1936, this is the place to head to if call of the wild is your passion. Tigers, elephants, leopards and other animals will leave you speechless. But the lure of Corbett does not end just here; there is Gajria temple, Dhangari museum and also Corbett waterfall to see. Therefore, it is advisable that if you come here you must make sure to stay for a day or two so as to see all these places. Accommodation in Corbett is not a problem if booking is done in advance but emergency options are also available here. Also, like Kerala Eco tours, pollution or the arming natural biosphere is prohibited.

  1. Andaman and Nicobar Islands: This is the pristine territory completely untouched by ravages of human civilization. Ideal for lazing on beaches or to simply go wandering and soak in the wildlife and forests, this place is again a must visit. But unlike accommodation in Corbett, accommodation here is a tough find. It is advisable to check with your company or hotel before trying to venture here. Also this place does not have much to see in terms of monuments of magnificence, like the once that Agra tourism guide can boast of but the serenity has its own charm.
